By the way, this area - known as the Cliff - in Varkala is chock a block with resorts, restaurants and hotels. In a 15 min walk you would have crossed 10 or so hotels and resorts along the Cliff trail overlooking the sea.

Get down at Varlaka railysataion (VAK) and take a 15 min (3km) auto rickshaw ride to the resort. Most of the express trains in the Thiruvananthapuram-Ernakulam route stops as Varkala.

[#car] On the NH66 take the diversion at Kallambalam. Clafouti is 13km off the National Highway 66 (NH66) from Kallambalam. You'll reach Kallambalam in 35km north of Thirunananthapuram or 30km south of Kollam on the NH66.
