Daulatabad is a popular tourist destination near Aurangabad. The imposing 14th century Deogiri Fort ( also known as Daulatabad Fort ) is a charming for both its military architecture and history.

Daulatabad is about 17 kilometers (10 miles), located northwest of Aurangabad. There are plenty of bus services from Aurangabad to Daulatabad.

There is a small railway station at Daulatabad. But the express trains do not stop here. Aurangabad is the main railway station.
