The tourist attractions of Ellora is spread over the 34 or so rock cut caves in a row. The centerpiece is probably the massive Kailashanatha Temple which is entirely carved out of the volcanic basalt mount.

n either sides of Kailashanatha Temple are a series of Buddhist, Hindu and Jaina caves, all ranging from 1000 to 1500 years old.The general layout of the caves, architectural details, mythical & spiritual themes, sculptural artistry and to some extend the natural beauty of the surroundings are the major highlights.
And of course for those keen on history and archeology, Ellora is a great place of study. The ambient is still sublime with the air of an ancient spiritual center.
