Tipus Mausoleum in Srirangapatna is 3km off the Bangalore-Mysore highway
Tipu Sultan's mausoleum
It was originally built by Tippu Sultan to house the graves of his parents. Tippu was buried here after his death in the Siege of Srirangapatna in 1799.
The mausoleum is located in the island formed by Kaveri river.
